About this tour

At night, Oaxaca is a completely different city. Less noise, better light, and a pace that actually lets you breathe. We walk the historic center as the sun goes down, stop at a real mezcal bar (not a tourist trap) and learn the difference between an espadín and a tobalá — then eat street food and end the night on a rooftop with the cathedral in front of us. Perfect for first nights in Oaxaca, date nights, or anyone who's tired of guided-tour energy.

What we do

Pickup at your hotel or meet at the Zócalo
Your choice. We start at dusk.

Historic center walk
Santo Domingo de Guzmán lit up at night. The Alcalá pedestrian street. A detour through Jalatlaco if time allows — Oaxaca's most beautiful barrio.

Mezcal stop
A local bar, not a tourist spot. We taste two mezcals and talk through what makes artisanal mezcal different from what you'll find at the airport.

Street food
Tacos de canasta, a tlayuda from a night market stall, or antojitos from wherever looks best. We follow the smell.

Rooftop close
Final copa of the night on a terrace with the cathedral below us. No rush to leave.

End of tour
Back at your hotel or the Zócalo by 10:30 PM.
